We are two friends who first met in 1978 (we think—what we did in those days isn’t always altogether clear to us). Over the years we have enjoyed many real (and a few imagined) adventures together, including river rafting, hiking, cross-country skiing, and traveling to remote mountain/desert vastnesses. Now that we are separated geographically, our adventures are pretty much limited to saving the world via our weekly telephone chats. We started this blog to share our thoughts with each other at more length than our phone bills allow. We hope other folks might be interested in our discussions of politics, dolls, nutrition, quilts, video games, rhetoric, gardening, pets, and who knows what the hell else.
